I wanted to know what kind of bath I can take to help with a Yeast Infection, like the burning, itching.

I have Cranberry pills and Cranberry concentrate. I was taking them because I had a UTI, and about 2 or 3 days later I got a yeast infection.

Will the cranberry stuff still work ?
It’s my second yeast infection and I also want to know how to keep them AWAY && UTIs. I have a terrible immune system,
I don’t wear tight clothes, I take baths not showers, I don’t eat heathy though.

Please help. :)

Hi,

The cranberry pills are good keep taking them, they’ll help with both infections.

I’ll give you some tips on what to do, as well I would consider researching Candida, as you say you have a weakened immune system. Every factor seems in play to resemble a picture of Chronic Candida, I’m sure at the very least if you target it effectively you won’t have to suffer from Yeast infections any more.

I’m sorry to say as well, the unhealthy eating has gotta change, you gotta make a choice whether feeling sick and suffering from yeast infections is worth eating tasty but unhealthy food.
There are many things you need to start doing and addressing if you are suffering from a yeast infection. To start, do the following:

1. Wear loose clothing and undergarments, oxygen kills yeast, going commando and wearing nothing down there if possible is even better.

2. Get some unsweetened yogurt and rub it onto a tampon, insert the tampon and do this continually until the yeast infection is gone.

3. Cut out any and all sugar, alcohol and yeast from your diet. All three will promote the infection further.

4. Start drinking cranberry juice, pure not from concentrate with no added sugar, I know this goes against the no sugar thing but the acid content in the cranberries will alter the PH balance of your vagina and cause the yeast to die off.

5. If you can tolerate it, use a raw garlic clove and apply it to the infection, this may burn so dilute it with some olive or coconut oil, both of which can also help eliminate the yeast, especially the coconut.

6. Lastly if all else fails, begin adding 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to a bath. Only fill the tub up high enough to submerge your genital area. Stay in the tub for 20-30 minutes at a time.

Hope this helps, the yogurt is the key really, by putting good bacteria directly on the area you will eliminate it quickly. Make sure it is unsweetened and ideally keep an eye out for a variation called Kefir which has even more beneficial bacteria in it to snuff out the infection.

When all is said and done I would suggest you research Candida and take a test to determine if you are suffering from it, as anyone who gets yeast infections has Candida, it’s just a matter of how bad it is.

I have all the symptoms of a yeast infection, but I’m not sure if that’s what it is bcuz my boy friend and I wer fooling around and he performed oral sex on me and fingered me.
for right now tho I’m just going to treat it as a yeast infection.
is there any way that I can do some methods without having to get the medication from a drug store or whatever.
like, i think i’ve heard that eating yogurt or something helps.

PLZ AND THANKYOU!

I would go to the pharmacy and get the cream.
I have tried the natural methods in the past to try to get rid of thrush ( I used to get it a lot from being on antibiotics) – and they are messy and don’t work.
Get the clotrimazole cream (works quickest) and also take the fluconazole tablet. They are cheaper if you don’t but the cannesten brand.
If it doesn’t clear in a few days or gets worse go to the doctor.
In the mean time where loose clothing ( underwear and trousers).

I have a bad yeast infection and I dont want to use pills or OTC Drugs. Please help?

This is going to sound extremely gross, but relief is instantaneous. First, go get yourself a massengil douche, preferably unmedicated. Also get a small container of plain unsweetened yogurt. It must be plain with nothing in it or you will be sorry. Open the douche and empty out the fluid. Cut the top off the douche bottle with a sharp serrated knife, being careful not to remove the threading where the applicator will screw on. Use a funnel and put the yogurt in the douche bottle. You will have to wiggle it, etc. to get it in there. Put the cap on the douche bottle. Before you are ready to go to bed, place a clean, good sized, preferably plush towel under yourself. Get into bed without any underwear, you will not leave the bed again til morning. Tilt the douche bottle down so the yogurt settles near the nozzle. Squeeze gently until you see that the yogurt is beginning to seep through the openings in the nozzle. Insert and apply. Try to apply all the yogurt with one firm squeeze. Let the yogurt fall out naturally through the night. In the morning shower and clean yourself normally, do not attempt to remove the yogurt your body will get rid of it on its own.

I got a yeast infection about 3/4 days ago.. The burning now is not as intense as it was then, but it still bugs me a great deal.
This is the first time this has happened to me, so I dont really understand what causes a yeast infection.I heard that tampon pads may cause it, if they do, could I use tampons again. Also, I know that you can buy over the counter medicine like Vagisil and Monistat, but could this infection heal by itself? Does yogurt help?

Get Monistat, it helps insert it before you go to sleep, so it can stay up there a while. It does help. Eat yogurt, it definitely cannot hurt you. If you are not better with those two things(in a few days) call your family physician or gynecologist.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice for a yeast infection-any home remedies that anyone knows of that works.

Yes, when I was very much into natropathic remdeies, I would do one of two things…or both…use acidophilis liquid both orally and as a diluted douche..and/or take yogurt and use one of those applicators that they use for chemical yeast products or contraceptive jelly and insert yogurt (plain..live cultured) before bed for a few nights.
Sounds yucky, but it worked very well!

like if i dont treat it will it go away?
it itches really bad, and i cant got to the doctores for 1 week so thats not an option. home remedies? and is it possible for it to go away without doing anything? please help:)
thanks all il love yyou!

Some yeast infection home remedies include inserting or applying plain yogurt in the areas affected. If it is the vagina, soak a tampon in plain yogurt and insert it at least twice a day. Repeat this regularly until the infection disappears. Consumption of yoghurt, buttermilk, unsweetened cranberry juice, and acidophilus in large amounts is also known to help a lot.

Douching with a solution of vinegar and water is another perfect home remedy. This is because vinegar has antifungal and antibacterial properties that will combat Candida. Simply mix a cup of vinegar in a bathtub full of warm water, and soak inside for about 20 minutes. Any kind of vinegar is okay, but apple cider vinegar has proved very effective.

Use of garlic is another way to treat this infection. Simply make a paste using garlic pods and apply to the surrounding parts of the affected area. For a vaginal yeast infection, you can also slice the garlic pods and wrap with a clean piece of cheesecloth and then insert in the vagina for around 20 minutes. Be advised using garlic may somewhat burn the area slightly, but is equally effective.

Arguably the most uncomfortable and stickiest home remedy for curing a yeast infection is using honey. Simply pour honey on all the areas affected and stay for 20 minutes. You can afterwards shower using warm water and don’t forget to dry the affected areas sparingly and thoroughly using a clean absorbent piece of paper.

Hope this helps.

I have been researching the effects of tea tree oil on curing a yeast infection. it does work and does help with vaginal itching. But most cures suggest soaking a tampon in the oil and inserting. I do not have tampons so I was wondering if cottonballs could be used as a substitute?

I wouldn’t, how would you get the cotton balls out once they are in there? Cotton balls fall apart. Use the tampons.

wrap dental floss around a clove of garlic. insert in vagina at night. remove in morning. repeat for three or four days. a bulb of garlic costs approx 66 cents.

I have recently developed a yeast infection ‘down below’… apparently if you put plain yoghurt on the end of a tampon and wear it for an hour, it is supposed to make a big difference, but i don’t wear tampons so do you have any other ideas to help cure it?

Hey!

Indeed there is a solution… the best way is to use a pessary, "Canestan" which works wonders, but as you’re against sticking things "up there" then you can instead use the cream on the itchy area (i know how itchy it gets – nightmare!).. and also there is an oral tablet you can get. All of these are available from your local pharmacy, though they are a little pricey (i think around £9 from when i last bought one). Just take the tablet and the problem should quickly clear up.

Oh and avoid tight, closely fitted underwear! You want to give things space down there – best to let that area breathe rather than have the ideal condition for the yeast infection. Stick with bog-standard, loose-ish granny pants for now.. not cool, but definitely less itchy!

Hope that helps, and good luck :D
